The MND: DPP Authorities’ Soliciting External Support for Taiwan Independence Will Push Taiwan to the Brink of War
11月15日下午，國防部新聞發(fā)言人張曉剛大校就近期涉軍問題發(fā)布消息。
記者：據(jù)報(bào)道，臺灣考慮向美國進(jìn)行大規(guī)模軍事采購，向美國新政府展現(xiàn)加強(qiáng)防衛(wèi)的決心。美方公開了臺軍秘密派員赴美訓(xùn)練接裝“海馬斯”火箭炮信息，臺防務(wù)部門證實(shí)接裝了11套“海馬斯”火箭炮。請問發(fā)言人對此有何評論？
Question: It’s reported that Taiwan was considering purchasing a big package of US weapons, to show the incoming US administration its seriousness about stronger defense. The US side disclosed that Taiwan secretly dispatched troops to the US for training on HIMARS. The defense authorities of Taiwan confirmed that 11 HIMARS had been delivered. What’s your comment on this?
張曉剛：中方敦促美方立即停止武裝臺灣，停止破壞臺海和平穩(wěn)定的危險(xiǎn)行徑。民進(jìn)黨當(dāng)局出賣臺灣利益結(jié)美國主子歡心，妄想“倚外謀獨(dú)”，只會將臺灣推向兵兇戰(zhàn)危。我們正告民進(jìn)黨當(dāng)局，買什么武器都不堪一擊，必將自取滅亡。解放軍將全面加強(qiáng)練兵備戰(zhàn)，全面提升打贏能力，堅(jiān)決粉碎“臺獨(dú)”分裂圖謀和外部勢力干涉。
Zhang Xiaogang: The Chinese side urges the US side to immediately stop arming Taiwan and cease its dangerous actions jeopardizing peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. The DPP authorities sell the interests of the people in Taiwan to ingratiate its US master and attempt to solicit external support for “Taiwan independence”. Such behaviors will only push Taiwan closer to the brink of war. We warn the DPP authorities that buying more weapons is futile and will only court self-destruction. The PLA will enhance combat readiness and our ability to fight and win, and firmly thwart any attempt for "Taiwan independence" and any interference by external forces.
